Cartier Bresson

Visited Cartier-Bresson exhibition at Media Museum and an exhibition of Icelandic landscapes at Impressions Gallery. The Icelandic images were pretty impressive large prints – about 15 of them. My favourites showed the lunar like vista of Iceland, with lava fields and volcanic cones – sound. The Cartier Bresson exhibition was from around 1930, taken from his scrapbook. Some of the images were old prints, but others were clearly much newer. They were all very small – less than 5 inch prints I would say, and they suffered for this. Good however to see such a large body of C-B’s work in one place.
