I remember too reading a letter in a music mag about how bands like the Strokes are being quickly adopted by thirtysomethings to the aggrevement of the young – how can they rebel if their parents like their music as much as they do. The letter seems to think (probably correctly) the reason the thirtysomethings like this music is because it has such strong similarities to music they listened as young.
