Regina and Only Son at the City Varieties … Only Son humourous repartee excellent – even if it was to a black hole … as support to Spektor last time also, getting to know his set – some tracks growing on me. His selling of his gear at the end of set, was as promised accompanied by him going to the sales booth and actually selling his own CDs – classic.

Regina – like Only Son blinded by the lights, and unable to see crowds reaction to remarks – her attempts to chat tailed off after a couple of songs as she couldn’t see anyone. She kept requesting the lights be turned down low and seemed a lot happier when they were. Songs great, a lot played that were new. Somehow Samson didn’t quite have the impact of the recorded version – but good gig.
