‘Uneasy Rider’ is a humourous story of a man in mid life crisis seeking meaning to his life by taking off on a very long motorcycle trip around Europe. Written by Mike Carter, it describes his journey to the far side of Europe, across into Turkey, with his encounters and mood swings with his different experiences. The book is more about his personal journey than the physical journey, as far greater tours have been made by motorcycle. Somehow though, this makes his journey more accessible – he says he has decided to go only as far as he can get without any special visa requirements, and this makes his journey possible to anyone. A funny and interesting book about a modern Europe and the experiences one can have without enormous expense.
